About Jaybird Roofing & Restoraton
Born and raised in Indianapolis In my father started his own construction company in the 70’s doing customer home building and woodworking and trim. I started working with him at age 11 and after high school full time, I became partners with him at 25 and we did interior trim and cabinets for Durabuilders until the economy crashed in 2009. I did whatever work I could until 2011 whenever my uncle who works for insurance company in Tennessee needed my father and me to come and help with estimating damage and property loss after 5,000 homes got hit by tornadoes in Knoxville Tn. It was then how I got into the roofing industry and got certified as an insurance adjuster. I got licensed in Florida for insurance adjuster and claims specialist after that, I went to New York for hurricane Sandy following Ohio for storm damage and then back to Jacksonville Fl for hurricane damage. Whenever I got back home in Indiana I focused on roofing storm damage for roofing focusing on insurance claims. I got really good at getting homes owners the insurance money they needed to fix their property and only being responsible for their deductible. Insurance companies have made it very difficult to get homeowners the entire sum of money that they actually need to restore their home to the conditions before the storm happened so my experience in insurance and construction have made me really good at both where as some other roofing contractors may have difficulty. My father and I work together on roofing and storm damage claims from 2011-2020 he retired at the end of 2020 and now helps me manage my roofing install under my company Jaybird Roofing and Restoration. I mainly focus on exterior damage and interior damage caused by storms or neglect, however I am a licensed and insured general contractor so that gives me the opportunity to do any scope of work and also commercial and residential property. No job is too large for me because I have multiple roofing crews and subcontractors in all trades of construction.
